Matt is a Fugue Co-founder and Principal Software Engineer. He'd never say it, but his penchant for writing elegant code that solves tough problems is a thing of beauty.
Before Fugue, Matt was a lead developer for seven years in the U.S. Coast Guard system and, prior to that, he worked as an engineer in the financial industry.
Matt's been reading Cormac McCarthy lately—he enjoys both classic and cutting edge sci-fi. He likes this bit of wisdom from Pierce Brown: "If pain is the weight of being, love is the purpose." Matt's other passions include brewing, charcuterie, and camping with his son.
